The Offset Printing process involves the transfer of the inked image (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface. These plates incur up front preparation costs. However, the printing cost per piece is significantly less than digital, making it the better choice for large print jobs where many items need to be printed in a single run.
